Course Style : Conversational and classroom-based
No. of Lessons : 10 Lessons per module
Contents of Lessons :

Situational exercises include the following: responding to and giving oral directions/commands, as well as making routine requests in the classroom and public places.

Topics covered include the following: understanding and using appropriate forms of address in expressions of courtesy, describing daily routines and events, asking and answering simple questions and participating in brief guided conversations, reading isolated words and phrases in a situational context, comprehending brief written directions and information, reading short narrative texts on simple topics, writing familiar words and phrases in appropriate contexts, and responding in writing to various stimuli.

Additionally, the finer points of non-verbal communication are developed through lessons that are catered to increase awareness of the following: current events in the culture, the major holidays, geographical features of French-speaking countries, greeting and leave-taking behaviors in a variety of social situations, appropriate ways of responding to introductions, and appropriate etiquette in a variety of social settings.
